Two Towers - the de-Christianization of America and a Plan for Renewal

On December 22nd 2005, Pope Benedict XVI met with the Roman curia and discussed the impact of the 2nd Vatican Council on the Church. Our Holy Father said that there were two interpretations of the Council. One is of "hermeneutics of discontinuity and rupture" ... "between the pre-conciliar and post-conciliar Church." (We have all seen and suffered much from this false interpretation). The second interpretation is "the hermeneutics of reform" and is undertaken with a view to tradition.

This was a most important address by our Holy Father, rejecting "discontinuity and rupture" - "the spirit of Vatican II", in favor of a reading of the Vatican II documents in light of, and in continutity with, 2000 years of Church tradition.
